Other celebs sporting LED accessories include Katy Perry and Ellie Goulding.

Puma, a sportswear manufacturer, also created a line for men and women that included LED lights in running apparel to keep people safe at night.

 

LED gowns have even graced the runways of designers such as Richard Nicolls, Hussein Chalayars, and Diana Eng.

 

The Galaxy dress, the world's most renowned LED dress, is also on display at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry as part of the Fast Forward: Inventing the Future show. The silk gown was embellished with 4,000 Swarovski crystals and 24,000 LED lights.

LED lights are popular due to their brightness, long life term, and lack of heat generation as compared to conventional lights. This means they can work with clothing and accessories in ways that previous lights cannot.
